How to find things with Structure

Some things are hard to click because they sit behind or inside something else. Structure lists every item on the page in order, so you can pick the exact one you want. Older versions of Elementor call it the Navigator.

You'll learn

How to use the Structure list to select anything on a busy page

Takes

About 4 minutes

You'll need

A page open in Elementor

1

Open Structure

Click the Structure icon in the top bar. It looks like a stack of layers. You can also press Ctrl + I, or Cmd + I on a Mac.

2

Read the list

Each line is a part of your page, from top to bottom. Click the small arrow beside a line to open it and see what’s inside.

3

Select something

Click any line and that item is selected on the page, with its settings open on the left. The page scrolls to show you where it is.

4

Give things clear names

Double-click a name to rename it, for example “Opening hours” or “Team section”. It makes the list much easier to use next time, and visitors never see these names.

5

Move something

Drag a line up or down the list to move that item on the page.

Common mistakes

I clicked the eye icon and something vanished.

The eye only hides it while you’re editing. Click the eye again to bring it back. It’s still on your live page.

The list is very long.

Close the sections you aren’t working on by clicking their arrows.

I dragged something into the wrong place.

Press Ctrl + Z or Cmd + Z and try again.
