Signage and large format design, Liverpool
Design that still works when it is ten metres wide. We design shop fronts, site boards, hoardings and exhibition stands that stay legible at distance, working from photos and measurements of your actual location.
Send us what you have. We'll tell you what's working, what isn't and what we'd change.
No obligation. No hard sell. We only use your details to reply to you.
A sign is read in a second from across a road, or not at all. Ignite designs signage, exhibition graphics, window, wall and hoarding artwork with scale, viewing distance, lighting and installation in mind, so the finished piece is legible in place rather than only on a screen. Production and installation can be handled through our Print & Production service.
We work from site measurements and photographs, mock the design onto the actual location and check legibility at the real viewing distance before artwork is produced. Large format is unforgiving of guesswork.

Send photos and rough sizes of the space. We’ll look at visibility, sightlines and what the signage needs to say, then advise.
We design the graphics and mock them onto photos of your location, checking the key message reads from the real viewing distance.
We produce scaled artwork to the fabricator’s specification, and can manage production and installation through our print partners.
Got a question about signage and large format design in Liverpool? Ask when you send the form and we’ll answer properly.
Some signs, particularly illuminated or larger ones, may need advertisement consent from your local council. It depends on the sign and the location. We’ll flag when it’s likely to apply, but confirming it with the council sits with you or your sign maker.
For local jobs in Liverpool and Merseyside, often yes. Further afield, we work from your photos and measurements, and the installer confirms final sizes before production. Either way, artwork isn’t finalised on guesswork.
Usually scaled vector artwork with fonts outlined and colours specified to the fabricator’s system. We prepare files to their specification, so there’s no back and forth before production.
Yes, with adapting. A banner viewed at arm’s length and a fascia read from across the road need different sizes and amounts of text. We adjust the layout for each while keeping it recognisably the same brand.
Send us photos and rough dimensions of the location. We’ll come back with a design approach and, if you want it, a production quote. Based in Liverpool, we take on signage and large format design work for clients across the UK.
