In Elementor, your changes stay private until you choose to make them live. That gives you room to try things and check them first.
You'll learn
The difference between a draft, a preview and a live page
Takes
About 3 minutes
You'll need
A page open in Elementor
1
Preview before you publish
Click the eye icon in the top bar. Your page opens in a new tab exactly as visitors would see it, with your unpublished changes included. Nobody else can see this.
2
Publish to make it live
Click Publish at the top right. The changes are now on your website for everyone.
3
Save a draft if you're not finished
Click the small arrow beside Publish and choose Save Draft. Your work is kept, but the live page stays as it was.
4
Check the live page
After publishing, open your website in a new tab and look at the page. Refresh it if you still see the old version.
5
Exit properly
Click the Elementor logo at the top left and choose Exit to WordPress.
Common mistakes
I published and I still see the old page.
Your browser has kept an old copy. Refresh the page, or hold Shift while you refresh.
I published something I shouldn't have.
Open History, choose Revisions, pick the version before your change and click Apply, then Publish.
I closed the tab without saving.
Elementor may offer to restore your work next time you open the page. If not, the changes are gone but your live page is untouched.
