How to save and reuse templates
A template is a saved copy of a section or a whole page. Save it once and you can insert it anywhere, as many times as you like.
How to save a section you like and drop it into any page
A page open in Elementor with a section worth reusing
Watch: “How to Use the Template Library”, an official video from Elementor. It shows the same job on their own demo site, so your screen may look a little different. The written steps below are the ones to follow.
Save a section as a template
Right-click the six dots of the container and choose Save as Template. Give it a name you’ll recognise, such as “Testimonial strip”, and click Save.
Open the page you want to add it to
Scroll to where it should go.
Open your templates
In the empty area marked for adding content, click the folder icon. Choose the My Templates tab.
Insert it
Find your template in the list and click Insert. It’s added to the page, ready to edit.
Change the contents and publish
Editing the inserted copy doesn’t change the saved template or any other page.
Common mistakes
I updated a template and other pages didn't change.
Templates are copies. Each page keeps its own version once inserted.
My list of templates is cluttered.
Go to Templates, then Saved Templates in the dashboard and delete the ones you don’t use.
The folder icon isn't showing.
Scroll to the very bottom of the page, or click the plus between two sections to show the empty area.
