Privacy policy

Last updated 7 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Ignite Creative collects through this website, why, and what rights you have. Ignite Creative is based at No.1 Mann Island, Liverpool, L3 1BP. If you have any questions, email info@ignite-creative.agency.

What we collect

When you fill in an enquiry form we collect what you choose to give us, usually:

  • name and email address
  • phone number, if you add it
  • business name and current website
  • details of what you need, and any files you upload (for example a logo or photos through the Free Website Offer form)

When you browse the site we collect information about your visit through Google Analytics: the pages you view, how you arrived, your device and browser type and your approximate location. If you have accepted cookies, we also use Google Ads conversion tracking: when you send an enquiry form, the fact that an enquiry was made is reported to Google Ads as a conversion, and linked to the advert you clicked if you came from one. The contents of your enquiry (your name, contact details and message) are not sent to Google Ads. If you have not accepted cookies, no cookies are set, but Google Analytics and Google Ads still receive limited cookieless signals (for example that a page was viewed or an enquiry was sent). These carry no cookie identifier and are used by Google to estimate totals. See our cookie policy for details.

How we use it

We use your enquiry details to reply to you, prepare quotes and, if you become a client, to deliver and invoice the work. Analytics information helps us understand which pages are useful and improve the site. Conversion information from Google Ads tells us which adverts lead to enquiries, so we can spend our advertising budget sensibly. We don’t sell your information, and we don’t add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Our lawful basis

We handle enquiry details on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and, where you become a client, because we need them to carry out our contract with you. We only use analytics and advertising cookies if you agree to them in the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time. Where you haven’t agreed, the cookieless signals described above are sent on the basis of our legitimate interest in measuring how the site and our advertising perform.

Who we share it with

We only share personal information with services that help us run the business:

  • Google, which provides our email (enquiries arrive in a Google Workspace / Gmail inbox), Google Analytics and Google Ads (conversion measurement, only if you accept cookies)
  • our website hosting provider, which stores the website and the form submissions it processes
  • GeoJS, which our homepage uses to estimate your town from your IP address so the example search can show a local result; the IP address is sent to their service and is not stored by us

Google may process information outside the UK. Where that happens it is covered by the UK’s data adequacy arrangements or approved contract terms.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with your request and any follow-up. If you become a client, we keep project and billing records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting purposes. Analytics data is kept according to our Google Analytics retention settings. Google Ads advertising cookies last up to 90 days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. To make a request, email info@ignite-creative.agency. We’ll reply within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if the way we handle information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
